At PRO~PT, we proactively seek patient relationships and a deeper comprehension of our patients’ lives so that our physical treatment is connected with their emotional goals.
Looking at patients through the lens of whole-body care doesn’t just mean we look at a patient’s physical condition—we also want to understand a patient’s daily life, personality, and external influences. Treatment plans that address all of these factors are more successful and lead to better experiences for our patients. Teaching this patient relationships skill to new physical therapists is essential to our philosophy.
Steve Heffelfinger, who has been a physical therapist for over 20 years, mentors many of our new PTs when they first join our team. He explains the PRO~PT difference of connection—we value the patient as a whole person with an injury, a story, and a goal. The treatment we offer our patients is second to none because of the in-depth level of care and understanding each of our physical therapists bring to our clinics. We’re encouraging and compassionate, and we’ll make you feel better physically by connecting with you on a personal level through dedicated patient relationships.
