Athletic training is a vital piece of athletic success in competitive sports. Our athletic trainers are certified healthcare professionals who have earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Athletic Training. They work with athletes at schools in the Central Valley as part of our Athletic Training Program.

Our Program

Athletic trainers provide medical coverage to all types of patients, not just athletes, and can work in a variety of job settings. Athletic trainers are highly qualified, multi-skilled health care professionals who render service or treatment in accordance with their education and training. Athletic trainers are healthcare professionals who specialize in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. They are also there to help with head injuries, testing and aiding in return to play for concussions. They are also an integral part in aiding in the communication between athletes, coaches, parents, doctors, and physical therapists in order assure proper return to play and health for all athletes.

At PRO~PT, we’re proud to have a partnership with local high schools, which allows us to provide the schools with Certified Athletic Trainers throughout the year. Our athletic trainers not only cover games and tournaments but also practices at their assigned schools. They do their best to be available to all athletes and visiting teams for evaluation of injuries and coordinated treatments. They have established a network of athletic trainers for the secondary schools in the Central Valley to ensure continuous care and communication. Check out some athletic training tips here.
